CURRICULUM

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela

NDPS Sharjah follows the CBSE curriculum that advocates a Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation. With CCE, NDPS aims at bringing about a paradigm shift from examination centered learning to holistic education. This is a novel approach that relates to ‘learning by doing ‘and emphasizes the importance of adapting innovative methods to achieve academic excellence in conformity with psychological, pedagogical and social principles.

The students begin their educational journey in the Kindergarten where learning happens through various theme based, hands-on teaching techniques creating an atmosphere of ease and comfort leading to joyous learning.

As they move on to Grades I and II, learning puts on a slightly formal garb and they acquire various skills through cross curricular teaching which prepare them to think and experiment on their own.

In Grades III-VI, the students build up confidence and become active participants in the learning process. They also get ready for formal assessments through weekly tests.

In the Primary Section great care is taken to ensure that the syllabus of one class dovetails into the next higher class in such a way that no undue burden is felt by the student.

Thus, the curriculum reflects not only the scholastic aspects, but also life skills acquisition, personality attributes, interests, values and proficiency in co-curricular activities reflecting a true picture of the growth and profile of the learner.
